Welcome to Hogwarts, A History...
... where you make the history.
We all know about the infamous Harry Potter and his two best friends Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger and how they all worked together to find the Horcruxes to defeat Lord Voldemort. But that’s only part of the story. Every ending has a beginning. If the fall of Lord Voldemort was the ending, then what was the beginning? How did all of this start?
It all started in the year 1970 when a the four marauders entered Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. They knew not of their purpose. The only thing they knew was that they were best friends and that pranking people was the only way to have fun. And so, these four marauders became the pranksters of the school and were oftentimes considered to be the four “rulers” of the school--James Potter always in front, Sirius Black and Remus Lupin following close behind him with Peter Pettigrew bringing up the rear. Each wanted glory far more great than they could ever accomplish, but they strived to achieve such greatness through their pranks during their seven years at school. Those were the marauders.
Then there was Severus Snape, or Snivellus as the marauders called him. He was nowhere near the popular boys in school, but he was best friends with one of the most beautiful, popular girls at Hogwarts--one Lily Evans. Snape and Evans had met years before while living in their homes in Spinner’s End, a somewhat remote Muggle location; they had befriended each other at an early age. Snape fell in love with Evans, but it was obvious once they started school that things would not work out. The marauders picked on Severus severely, taunting him and calling him things that made everyone in the school laugh. The Half-Blood Prince could do nothing but take it as they threw it at him.
But what of Miss Evans? Lily, though she had grown apart from Snape, still stood up for her longtime friend. She didn’t like the ways of Potter or his friends, nor did she appreciate that James was always trying to get flirty with her, oftentimes commenting on how nice she looked or how well she could perform spells, Charms in particular. Though she seemed quiet and kind-natured, Lily Evans was not one to be messed with. She was a fiery redhead and knew just how to deal with people like James and his little buddies.
But as the drama continues in the school, powers outside Hogwarts are rising. Death Eaters have become more of a threat, attacking Muggle locations and starting to ease their way into the magical world. The Order of the Phoenix has started to gather supports and people to fight in the resistance against the Death Eaters and their leader, Lord Voldemort. A battle is brewing among both the groups.
Now that they are entering their sixth year in Hogwarts, more feeling and emotions are becoming apparent. Will Severus Snape ever confess his love for Lily Evans? Will James Potter finally get the girl of his dreams? Will Lily ever find what she really wants? Will the marauders ever get their long-sought glory? Who will win the oncoming battle of good and evil? You decide. You write the history.
